Young skaters who enjoyed Tony Hawk's video games wanted a fun, safe online platform where they could race, customize gear, and connect with others. However, existing platforms were clunky and restricted creative expression.

Action

The MySkateLand team developed an open-source Papervision Flash MMO featuring customizable characters, skateboards, and race tracks. They implemented kid-safe chat features and enabled players to design their own skateparks. Every feature was tested with young players to ensure intuitive and enjoyable gameplay.
