Opportunity
The Yale School of Science and Divinity regularly hosted open discussions exploring the concept of synchronicity in our lives. How could we document these meaningful events on a mass scale?
Action
Using social network analysis and user interviews, we developed ways to capture synchronicity events. Users wanted a personal diary to log their experiences, along with the ability to discover others who shared similar experiences of this phenomenon. Synchro-bloggers were especially keen to see where these events were being documented around the world.
Result
I designed a mobile-first social network with a global event visualization page. The visualization showed markers on Earth that grew taller as more synchronicity events were recorded in each area. We uncovered a surprisingly high level of synchronicity awareness and activity worldwide.
